Our primary objective was to effectively communicate CSCS Group’s strategic priorities. To achieve this, we analysed both the business and user needs, striving for a solution that seamlessly integrated both. Understanding the client’s vision and user expectations was paramount. We focused on presenting information clearly and concisely, ensuring users could quickly find the information they needed. This involved streamlining the homepage to act as a central hub for key content.
Furthermore, we reorganised the sitemap to improve navigation and enhance the overall user experience. By thoroughly understanding user needs and business objectives, we were able to map out key user journeys and bring our initial ideas to life through sketching.
With user journeys and key content structure defined, we moved on to refining the visual identity. CSCS Group desired a more corporate brand feel. To achieve this, we simplified their existing brand assets, used them more sparingly, used more white space and ensured the content was presented simply.
Recognising the need for a scalable and maintainable design system, we opted for a component-led approach. The library is full of reusable UI elements that can be used in any order. This ensures consistency across the entire site and provides a robust foundation for future expansion. By establishing a clear visual language through the component library, we then proceeded to design the core templates that mapped out the key user journeys.
We focused on creating a sleek and intuitive user interface (UI) that gave CSCS Group’s brand a corporate feel. Content digestion was crucial in the project, so breaking down content into manageable sections was key. To ensure an engaging user experience, we integrated subtle animations, including element introductions, hover states, and smooth transitions. This added a touch of dynamism to the otherwise clean and minimalist design, making the website more enjoyable to navigate. This approach resulted in a website that was not only easy to use but also visually appealing and engaging for users.
CSCS Group required a secure member area where members could easily access crucial resources, news, and account information. Traditionally, providing access to a diverse range of resources often involves complex filtering systems, requiring users to navigate through numerous options to find relevant information. To address this challenge, we implemented a dynamic system, whereupon registration, each member would be set into a specific scheme. This meant each member was displayed only the resources relevant to them. This personalised approach eliminated the need for complex filtering, simplifying navigation and ensuring members quickly found the information they needed.
To further enhance the member experience, we implemented a notification system. When new resources or news items were published, relevant members were notified, ensuring they were always informed of the latest updates.
To support the launch of the My CSCS mobile app, we created an engaging onboarding video. The primary objective was to clearly communicate the app’s core functionalities and highlight the key benefits for users.
We began by crafting an informative script, carefully considering how to effectively convey the app’s value proposition. A detailed storyboard was then developed, outlining the visual elements that would bring the script to life. This included incorporating app screenshots to demonstrate functionality and incorporating short video clips to showcase the benefits of using the app. Finally, we brought the storyboard to life through dynamic animation, creating an engaging and informative user experience.
