At Red Bullet, we believe in a collaborative and transparent process. For each type of project, the process is different. Please check out our website, apps and branding pages to see the specific processes.

However, a typical website or app process includes…

  • Discovery & Planning: Initial consultation, project scoping & planning, user research & analysis
  • Design & Development: Information architecture & user flows, wireframing & prototyping, visual design, development
  • Testing & Launch: User testing, quality assurance, launch & training

Throughout the entire process, we’ll maintain open communication, provide regular updates, and ensure your complete satisfaction.

The cost of a project depends on its size and complexity. Our time is our commodity. You are basically buying our time, minds and skills. Our passion comes for free!

A typical website or app project, including the full process of user research, design, development, and testing, can start from around ÂŁ10,000 and go up to ÂŁ60,000+ depending on the size and functionality.

We offer free consultations to discuss your specific needs and provide you with a tailored quote. We believe in transparent pricing and will work closely with you to find a solution that fits your budget and achieves your desired outcomes.

The duration of a project varies significantly depending on its scope, client resources and complexity. A typical website project, from initial consultation to launch, can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months.

Factors that influence the timeline include:

    • Project size: Larger projects with more features, integrations, and custom functionalities naturally take longer.
    • Client availability: Timely feedback and approvals from your team are crucial for maintaining project momentum.
    • Content entry: The time required for content entry and creation can significantly impact the overall project timeline.

We’ll work closely with you to create a realistic project timeline, factoring in all these elements, and keep you informed throughout the process.

Absolutely, we offer ongoing maintenance and support. A standard SLA and Hosting agreement with us will ensure that any issues with your website are addressed in a timely manner. You’ll be set up with access to our Freshdesk support system where you can log and track issues. Also included are ongoing training needs – so if you have any questions relating to your site, we’ll help you answer them.

We partner with WP Engine for our hosting infrastructure. They have WordPress-optimised hosting that has built-in mitigation for common website attacks. This means downtime is extremely rare and they are proactively monitoring environments for DDOS attacks or similar. We are pleased to say in the 10 years or so we’ve partnered with them, we’ve not experienced any downtime issues.

    Getting started & our approach

Red Bullet is a leading Kent digital agency located at Highland Court Farm, Canterbury. Founded over 20 years ago, we create bespoke websites, apps, and brands—operating as an embedded, strategic extension of our clients’ internal teams.

We don’t operate as a distant, transactional vendor. We act as an embedded strategic partner integrated directly alongside your team. We bring the expert confidence of a senior consultancy with the speed and agility of a specialist studio, giving you direct access to our senior practitioners throughout the project.

Before anyone writes a line of code or draws a pixel, we start by getting to know you, your business goals, and your target audience. We’ll run an initial scoping session to understand your vision, map out your requirements, and outline a clear, transparent timeline and budget. We’re straight talkers, we won’t confuse you with mystery jargon or hidden fees.

Yes. We maintain a track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery. When your project carries a non-negotiable target, such as a major UK launch or a strict January 2026 milestone, we map out structured review gates early to eliminate scheduling friction and guarantee on-time delivery.

    UX & UI design

Great design sits at the intersection of human behaviour and commercial outcomes. We don’t rely on subjective opinions or design trends for the sake of it. We interrogate your key performance indicators (KPIs) alongside real user evidence to find the sweet spot, ensuring every navigation path, call-to-action, and custom layout directly serves a conversion objective while eliminating friction for the user.

Once wireframes are approved, our design team builds a visual identity that commands immediate market authority. We craft high-contrast, accessible colour palettes, clean typographic hierarchies, and custom iconography suites unique to your brand, ensuring your platform feels distinctly Sophisticated and Professional.

We follow a strict mobile-first blueprint. Modern decision-makers review briefs and research services on mobile devices while on the move, so we engineer every component for thumb-first navigation. We also craft subtle micro-interactions, smooth hover states, subtle animations, and refined scroll transitions that deliver genuine moments of joy.

Design is built on solid evidence, not subjective guesswork. We deploy our UX superpowers during discovery to uncover true user motivations through:

    • Stakeholder workshops: Defining core business goals, target personas, and primary conversion pathways.

    • User interview panels & persona mapping: Mapping out real user workflows to ensure fast, logical journeys.

    • Competitor audits: Analysing rival digital footprints to identify market gaps and elevate your brand posture.

    • Information architecture (IA): Restructuring complex content into logical content pockets so users find answers in minimal clicks.

Yes. Before a single line of frontend code is written, we construct high-fidelity, interactive prototypes in Marvel or Figma. This allows your team to click through every screen and menu interaction in a live environment, giving you complete confidence before development starts.

    Web & app development

We construct custom, bloat-free platforms engineered on modern open-source standards. We write clean, custom PHP, HTML5, and CSS3 code built directly on WordPress core standards, never clunky commercial page builders that clutter source code, slow down loading speeds, and create long-term debt. Every platform is engineered for rapid Core Web Vitals and full WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance.

Our senior engineering team has over a decade of hands-on experience integrating complex third-party tools into web platforms. Whether you require secure CRM synchronisation, custom e-commerce setups via WooCommerce, Spektrix ticketing systems, or bespoke API connections, we write robust, secure code tailored precisely to your operational workflows.

Yes. We specialise in replacing rigid, expensive setups like AEM CMS with flexible, cost-optimal architectures. We simplify complex schemas and build lean frameworks that slash ongoing running costs while returning full operational control back to your internal team.

Speed and accessibility are baked into our development process from day one, not tacked on at the end. We optimise asset compression, streamline JavaScript execution, and enforce strict caching protocols to ensure your site meets Google’s target Core Web Vitals metrics. We also perform rigorous automated and manual checks to guarantee full WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance.

    Content management & in-house control

Enabling complete in-house management is a mandatory requirement for every platform we build. We construct bespoke Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) component libraries that act like digital building blocks. Your marketing team can add, reorder, and configure landing pages effortlessly without breaking brand layout rules or relying on external technical support.

Yes. We record tailored, screen-recorded video walkthroughs starring your actual site dashboard. This custom video library stays with your team permanently, making onboarding new staff effortless and eliminating reliance on external agency tickets for routine updates.

    Hosting, support & long-term partnership

We host client platforms on WP Engine Enterprise infrastructure using dedicated UK-based servers. This guarantees full UK-GDPR compliance, built-in DDoS shields, enterprise security protocols, and automated daily backups for maximum uptime.

Launching your platform is the beginning of a long-term partnership. Through our dedicated Freshdesk SLA portal, you can log tickets directly with the developers who built your platform. Our fixed-cost support agreements cover proactive security updates, server upkeep, quality assurance, and continuous UX refinements, giving you complete peace of mind.
